SPR-4634: Investigating Consistency among Bridge Inspectors Using Simulated Virtual Reality Testbed
This project will develop virtual reality (VR)-based modules where trainees will be engaged in realistic scenarios for rehabilitation and maintenance decision-making. The immersive experience affords better engagement with the training environment. A software to be used with a VR headset will provide a training platform for INDOT inspection crews. Inspectors will be exposed to various bridge inspection scenarios and their performance will be evaluated quantitatively.
