Development of Infrastructure Research Weekly APP
The goal of this study is to develop “Infrastructure Research Weekly” APP that shares the research findings (reports, journal/conference articles, etc.), news on transportation infrastructure durability and serve as “One-Stop-Shop” for researchers from the consortium universities, industry practitioners and professionals and students. The APP will also aggregate information on seminars, training, and other career opportunities related to transportation infrastructure durability and life-extension. To achieve the research goal, six interrelated tasks will be executed. Before the development of the APP, a stakeholder survey will be conducted to assess the needs and expectations of the relevant stakeholders. After developing the APP, a pilot test will be conducted by selected stakeholders, and the updated APP will be made available to the public. The primary contents of the APP will be collected from major journals, magazines, websites, news media, TRID database, and social media via keyword searches, using web scraping or artificial intelligence (AI) techniques.
