Evaluating the Performance & Safety Effectiveness of Roundabouts- An Update
The last evaluation of Michigan roundabouts was completed in December of 2011 (H-U0316.02). Since that time, MDOT has constructed many additional roundabouts, best practices have evolved, and operational and safety performance may have changed. Study of the current roundabout environmental, operational and safety performance efficacies, along with maintenance best practices and costs, will help MDOT determine the future application of roundabouts in Michigan.
