A Before and After Study to Evaluate the Operational Benefits of the Dynamic Flashing Yellow Arrow Decision Support System (DFYA-DSS)
The main project objectives are summarized as follows: (1) Identify candidate intersections for dynamic flashing yellow arrow (DFYA) treatment; (2) Data collection for the before study, (3) Conduct a pilot before-and-after study on one intersection, (4) Conduct a preliminary analysis and identify shortcomings, (5) Data collection and before/after analysis on full sample of intersections, (6) Recommendations for best practices.
