Measuring Accessibility to Improve Public Health

This project aims to (1) develop a methodology to identify and classify gaps in accessibility to jobs, health care, and food across time, demographic groups, and locations, which impact the public health of the populations affected; and (2) provide a set of recommendations for actions to address the specific types of identified accessibility gaps to reduce inequities. These methods could support Massachusetts Department of Transportation's (MassDOT's) existing accessibility data dashboard to continuously monitor accessibility gaps and inequities that affect public health.
