SPR-4537: Speed Management on Freeways in Transition Zones between Rural and Urban Conditions
This project will recommend speed reduction treatments to apply in interstate transition zones from rural to urban conditions. The conditions which may affect the speed reducing effectiveness of alternative solutions will be identified to promote the most promising combination of treatments. The results will also help coordinate police enforcement activities within the INDOT-ISP collaboration program. Wording will be prepared to include in the Indiana MUTCD and the Indiana design manual, as needed.
