Anomaly/Intrusion Detection: Design, Development and Testing
The objective of this project was to address the testing of vehicle network intrusion detection systems. Intrusion detection systems are designed to detect and sometimes mitigate vehicle data bus messages that are unfamiliar and possibly malicious. This project involved UMTRI developing a concept of operations and associated set of functional requirements addressing intrusion detection, and then developing and applying testing methods to production vehicles in order to show the ability to assess selected aspects of the candidate systems. The final report for this project will not be publicly available.
