Update of Commercial Vessel Past Point Data for Designing Bridges Across Navigable Florida Waterways
The primary objective of the proposed research is to update the past point data for vessel traffic throughout navigable Florida waterways. As an implementation component of the proposed research, it is also planned for the updated past point data to be incorporated into the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) vessel collision risk assessment tool. As an additional proposed implementation component, critical analysis of the past point data will be used to identify the need for updates to collision-related provisions within Sec. 2.11 of the FDOT SDG.
