Research Roadmap -- Transformational Technologies (other than CV/AV). Topical White Papers for the TRB Forum on Automated Vehicles and Shared Mobility
The objective of this project is to develop topical white papers on issues of interest to the TRB Forum on Preparing for Automated Vehicles and Shared Mobility that (1) describe the issue and possible implications for public policy, (2) summarize completed and ongoing research and deployment efforts (domestic and international), (3) provide links to key information resources, (4) identify remaining knowledge gaps, and (5) present research problem statements that are suitable for large research programs. As appropriate, these problem statements should identify innovative approaches to carrying out the research and opportunities for partnering with the private sector as well as other countries. Each paper is expected to be roughly 15-20 pages in length.
