Digital Publication and Outreach Services in Support of Research
Effectively communicating the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Research Program activities, results, and implementation successes, both within the department and beyond, is essential to realizing the full value and potential of research, and continuing to grow and develop a robust Texas transportation research community. TxDOT’s Research and Technology Implementation Division (RTI) does not have the in-house technical resources necessary to accomplish some of the objectives that contribute to meeting this goal. TTI will provide TxDOT with the services needed to support and facilitate research program technology transfer and development of outreach materials that promote implementation of project research results. In keeping with the 21st century digital and internet-based methodologies that are proving to be effective today, TTI will produce short (2-5 minutes) videos (for posting to YouTube and sharing through other social media avenues) that summarize Transportation research and implementation success stories. TTI will develop other outreach materials including, but not limited to, newsletters, conference materials (agendas/programs, signs and posters, name tags, booth displays), brochures, technical articles, fact sheets, annual performance reports, reference guides, presentation materials, webinars, web sites/pages and communication tools that would facilitate promotion of the research program on a broad scale or implementation efforts for specific projects and program initiatives.
