SPR-4407: Road Ditch Line Mapping with Mobile LiDAR
Mobile Mapping Systems are capable of providing cross-sectional profiles of road surface and ditch lines with an absolute accuracy of 1-2 inches in both the horizontal plane and vertical elevation. These profiles can be used to effectively identify the locations where there are elevation/grade issues. This project aims at using a LiDAR-based mobile mapping system traveling with a speed of roughly 20 to 40mph for the mapping and analysis of road ditch lines.
