SPR-4444: Improved Live Load Lateral Distribution Factors for use in Load Rating of Older Continuous and T-Beam Reinforced Concrete Bridges

The findings inform proposed modifications to formulas for distribution of traffic loads to exterior and interior beams and strips in reinforced concrete T-beam and solid slab bridges. By improving load rating estimates, overload permits, and reducing the need for posting of the bridges in the study scope, it will be responsive to the Indiana Department of Transportation 2019 Strategic Plan Strategic Priority of Asset Sustainability.
