SPR-4319: Cost/Benefit Analysis of Installing Fiber Optics on INDOT Projects
This research study will evaluate the costs and benefits of allowing conduit space allowance at controlled-access state highways in Indiana in order to make an informed decision that balances stakeholder interests. An associated goal is to explore mechanisms to realize a fair market return for fiber-optic cable permits on the state’s controlled-access highway ROW. The research study is intended to yield a result that will foster a clear and consistent policy in this matter.
