SPR-4302: Using of Emerging & Extraordinary Data Sources as Means to Improve Traffic Safety
The study will identify new and emerging data that could be used in conjunction with the conventional data to support safety management. The project will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the identified data including their relevance to safety, permanency of the sources, and the data quality, availability, and cost. A report will justify the usefulness of the identified data for individual safety management tasks. Specific recommendation will be made to help in proper data acquisition, storing, and management in relation to the INDOT Data Portal being under development.
