GIS in Transportation Outreach Activities
This effort will produce and provide information on the use of geographic information systems (GIS) at State departments of transportation, metropolitan planning organizations and other transportation agencies. This will be accomplished by delivering 1 peer exchange, 1 case study report, 4 webinars, and 4 newsletters. Transportation GIS professionals are looking for examples and noteworthy examples of GIS use in order to better the transportation decision making process. The funding will support a website that makes these products available to the transportation GIS community.
