This program area provides objective research on current and emerging issues as they relate to transportation programs and policy. Research conducted includes quantitative analysis, case studies, policy evaluations, and the application of analytic models to assess the relationship between changes in social, demographic, economic and technological trends on the distribution and level of travel demand.
