Dual Rebalancing Strategies for Electric Vehicle Carsharing Operations
Viability of carsharing operations depend on rebalancing efforts, which are applicable to both demand and EV charging. The research team investigates the effectiveness of new rebalancing strategies that they are developing based on queueing networks for test cases from BMW ReachNow. The team will also collaborate with a MATSIM developer to construct a model of a carsharing scenario in NYC with the proposed strategies to evaluate their impacts on: changes in mode share and social welfare relative to a base scenario calibrated from NYMTC Household Travel Survey data.
