Improving Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Transit Vehicle Procurement Process in Mississippi
This study will examine Federal Transit Administration (FTA) transit vehicle procurement compliance requirements and those of DFA to identify inconsistencies and bottlenecks, and to streamline the process. The principal investigator (PI) will research and clearly delineate all applicable federal and state level regulations and requirements and recommend ways that Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) can more efficiently navigate this process. The study objective is not to change policy, but to help MDOT better work within the current system.
