SPR-4161: Implementation Proposal for (SPR-3300) Development of Methods and Specifications for the Use of Inertial Profilers and the International Roughness Index for Newly Constructed Pavement
The objective of the implementation study is to provide input/insight into the development of the newly constructed pavement smoothness quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) verification plan. An analysis will be conducted to determine how the INDOT system data compares with the data provided by the contractor. These results will aid in the development of the validation plan. Training materials will be developed to educate INDOT project engineers regarding inertial profiling, IRI, and the specifics of the new specification.
