PPRC14 SPE 4.58B: Evaluate Early Age and Premature Cracking for PaveM and LCCA (Whitetopping)
This research develops recommendations and guidance on the use of thin whitetopping as a rehabilitation alternative in California. The goal is to determine the applicability of whitetopping as a rehabilitation strategy in California. The mix designs for both concrete and rubberized asphalt as base are developed for thin whitetopping. In addition, the modeling of thin whitetopping for cracking and development are recommended.
