SPR-4115: Investigation of Delta Tc for Implementation in Indiana
A new concept for indicating binder aging‐related cracking (e.g., block cracking) using the Bending Beam Rheometer (BBR) is gaining favor around the country. This new procedure is especially relevant for asphalt mixes containing recycled materials (RAP and/or shingles). This project will review the Delta Tc concept for improving cracking performance of Indiana’s pavements. Proposed deliverables include a recommendation regarding implementation and a draft Indiana Test Method.
