Overheight Impact Avoidance and Incident Detection System
This project will investigate and pilot a smart detection and alert system(s) set up well in advance of a construction site or known low vertical clearance site to identify and alert over height vehicles to take appropriate action before reaching bridges or tunnels with low portions or construction containment and work platforms with reduced vertical clearance. The goal is to eliminate or at least minimize the occurrence of accidents and incidents caused by over height vehicles in the state of Louisiana.
