Workshop on Public Private Partnerships
Transportation agencies are increasingly embracing public private partnership (P3) to deliver infrastructure projects. To ensure the protection of public interest and successful implementation of P3 projects, there is an urgent need to build capacity in the public agencies. The proposal workshop serves this need by supporting knowledge exchange, stimulating collaboration, promote best practices, and explore research potential. The workshop targets on public officials, financial institutes, private organizations, and deal advisors with an intention to cover all aspects of multimodal transportation system. Experienced practitioners and recognized researchers will be invited to share the best practices, successful stories, and exciting findings in this field. It is anticipated that the workshop will go beyond transportation infrastructure and invite other public agencies, e.g. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Department of Energy (DOE), to support the recent Build America Initiative that encourages knowledge sharing among various federal agencies.
