Incident and Emergency Situations Simulations
The main objective of this task is to evaluate simulate abnormal traffic ranging from incidents to large-scale emergency situations with the main consideration being safety. The overall objective of this Major Research Initiative (MRI 2) is to use traffic simulation models, driving simulators, and field data to better understand causes of traffic crashes and assess selected countermeasures to enhance the safety of the public.
