Integrated Simulation and Safety--Vehicular Crash Models Development (Task 1)
Develop vehicle-to-vehicle crash prediction models for intersections and interchanges. The overall objective of this Major Research Initiative (MRI 2) is to use traffic simulation models, driving simulators, and field data to better understand causes of traffic crashes and assess selected countermeasures to enhance the safety of the public.
