Local Technical Assistance Program for Florida Transportation Agencies 2015/2016

The objectives of this study are as follows: (1) To improve the quality and safety of the surface transportation system through collaborative partnerships, training, and information exchange; (2) To work closely with the Florida Department of Transportation (FOOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to ensure availability of quality services for all transportation professionals and to develop Florida's transportation workforce; (3) To focus Center activities on the four focus areas set forth by FHWA. Those areas include: a) Safety; b) Workforce Development; c) Infrastructure Management; and d) Organizational Excellence; and (4) To strengthen partnerships with professional transportation groups such as the American Public Works Association (APWA) and its Florida chapter and The National Association of County Engineers (NACE) and its Florida affiliate the Florida Association of County Engineers and Road Superintendents (FACERS).
