Steep Slopes Infiltration Rates
This research will measure infiltration of highway runoff into embankment side slopes to support future MGS Flood revisions to account for and get credit for infiltration. This analysis will help designers determine the proper Ksat and infiltration rates used in storm water models to determine the right size of the storm water best management practices (BMP's) in order to avoid environmental damage and improve storm water runoff management.
