SPR-3831: Safety Data Acquisition and Management (Data Portal and TScan)
This project will identify available data sources, data quality parameters, and develop design specifications for a data portal to support the needs of identified data users in INDOT and among INDOT partners. An application software for a prototype system called Tscan for intersection data collection will be developed. The application will provide methods for quick safety evaluation for understanding high crash risk factors and more accurate identification and confirmation of roads with safety needs and for generating a Traffic Conflict Diagram to supplement the Collision Diagram or substitute for it if crash data are not available.
