Freight Research to Support MAP-21 Implementation
The objectives of the research are to (1) produce a searchable and sustainable web-based tool, to be hosted by the U.S. DOT, that identifies in detail how the findings and conclusions of National Cooperative Freight Transportation Research Program (NCFRP) products can be used as input to the successful implementation of the freight provisions of MAP-21; (2) demonstrate the potential application of NCFRP products for Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century (MAP-21) implementation and other freight planning and programming applications; and (3) identify future freight research needs that would support the development of a national freight strategy.
