Compilation of Existing State Truck Size and Weight Limit Laws
As a requirement of Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21) (PL 112-141) §32802, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is required to develop a report for each state that "describes the route, size and weight limitation, allowable combination, and state law that allows a vehicle to operate in excess of the federal truck size and weight limits on the National Highway System." This project will conduct a verification of regulatory interpretation and applicability.
