Connected/Automated Vehicle and Infrastructure Research
Through the Michigan Department of Transportation/University of Michigan (MDOT/U-M) partnership investigate the highway technology and engineering implications of technological advances in connected vehicles and highway materials; including, but not limited to, roadside equipment (RSE's), data backhaul, reflective posts, pavement markings and reflectors, freeway lighting, and traffic signals. Knowledge gained from this research will help MDOT improve safety and mobility on the highway system.
