Inland Waterways Economic Impact Study
This project is designed to respond to the need for a better understanding of the economic impacts of inland waterways facilities and their operations. This includes local and regional impacts of facilities, impacts of differential shipping rates, secondary and tertiary impacts, and analysis of relative benefits of alternative investment decisions. It requires the acquisition of additional analysis software and collaborative work with multiple partners and stakeholders across Kentucky and with partners in the Multimodal Transportation and Infrastructure Consortium (MTIC).
