Field Test Implementation of Queue Control Continuation of Ramp Metering Design Tools & Field Test Implementation of Queue Control
Continue the work initiated under Track 2 of PATH T.O. 6329 by conducting a field test by implementing Queue Control on a Bay Area District (D4) on-ramp and study its effect in minimizing queue and mainline density oscillations and enhancing performance. This will be accomplished by using a 2070 traffic controller running a modified Universal Ramp Metering Software (URMS).
