Technology Transfer Intelligent Compaction Consortium (TTICC) on Intelligent Compaction for Soils and HMA
In 2008, 2009 and 2010 the Iowa Department of Transportation and the Earthworks Engineering Research Center (EERC) at Iowa State University hosted an annual workshop on Intelligent Compaction for Soils and HMA. 27 State departments of transportation (DOTs) were a participant in one or more of those workshops. The Iowa Department of Transportation has developed a pooled fund project, the Technology Transfer Intelligent Compaction Consortium (TTICC), to provide an ongoing forum for addressing the needs and challenges of implementing intelligent compaction across the country. This pooled fund is open to any state desiring to be a part of new developments in intelligent compaction. It will include two workshop meetings each year, one face-to-face and the other as a webinar.
