Iowa DOT Pavement Marking Management System: Research and Field Evaluation Assistance
CTRE will work with industry and Iowa DOT staff to make recommendations for improving the waterborne pavement marking program. This includes collaborating with the pavement marking industry in a variety of areas including materials (beads, binders, etc.) as well as equipment (application, measurement, monitoring). This effort will also examine contracting issues such as the establishment of minimum retroreflectivity thresholds, warranties, and incentive options used or under consideration by other DOTs.
