Development and Implementation of a Contractor Quality Control Program for Hot Mix Asphalt
Paving contractors operating in Washington State are not required to have a quality control (QC) program for WSDOT projects. Most states have found that having a QC program results in higher quality pavements. The proposed work involves developing a model QC plan for contractors doing paving for WSDOT. Primary benefit will be longer lasting pavements built in the most efficient manner.
