      <title>Development of Teaching Material to Integrate GT-POWER into Combustion Courses for IC Engine Simulations</title>

      <description><![CDATA[The main objective of this proposal is to develop instructional engineering projects that will utilize the newly-offered PACE software GT-POWER for engine simulations in combustion-related courses at the University of Missouri-Rolla. Students will team up to perform modeling of engine performance and emission characteristics so that they can learn state-of-the art engine technology and explore innovative design procedures routinely employed by the leading automotive companies. This will help bridge the gap between the theoretical and simple concepts learned by students in the classroom and the practical and advanced skills desired by industry. The project will allow various tools that can be used in research of engine combustion fueled by alternative fuels such hydrogen.]]></description>
