Relating Soil Characteristics to Soil Resistance
Record Type: DOT

The objective of this project is to develop a model which predicts soil resistance value (R-Value) from other soil characteristics, such as soil class, liquid limit, plasticity index, gradation ( sieves 4, 10, 40, 200) and group index. The major benefit in determining R-value from predictive model(s) using easily field measurable soil characteristics is the savings in time and cost on future projects.
