Assessment of Pavement Infrastructure

This research effort, to be referred to as Assessment of Pavement Infrastructure, will review: (1) pavement distress types and associated data items to be included in a pavement management system (PMS), (2) data format to be assessed and stored (3) threshold levels used to identify critical distress conditions, (4) data collection tools and technologies, including both manual and automated methods, and (5) appropriate economically-based weights for incorporating pavement distress types into a pavement condition index.
