Concrete Pavement Load Transfer Study
Record Type: RiP

The aim of this project is to quantify and compare load transfer efficiency offered by joint spacing, dowels, and lane width on the performance of concrete pavements in Manitoba. The experiment is based on the SHRP Specific Pavement Study (SPS-2) Protocol to facilitate LTPP monitoring and analysis. Four test cells were constructed in 1992. Load transfer efficiency testing was conducted in 1993, 1994, 2001, 2002, and 2005 with FWD equipment.
